The Role of English in Technical Writing Technical Writing is an upcoming field in India which is still at a nascent stage of development. There is a lot of untapped potential in this field and it affords exciting job opportunites in the near future. Though there are no formal courses in educational institutions in India, there are a few reputed training establishments in cities like Hyderbad, Bangalore and Pune which offer courses in Technical Writing. Water pumps dealerships!

Had this bizarre thought yesterday as I was contemplating my apartment grounds being dug up for rain harvesting: In a few hundred years, fresh water will become so scarce that it will be sold as petrol is now , in water pumps and our politicians will dole out licenses for water pumps like they dole out for petrol pumps now. There will be Premium Water and Ordinary water. Premium water(purified water from the hills or wherever) will make the grey cells tick faster and so will be costlier. People who have real estate with good water tables will be the new millionaires. And we will have massive water rigs near seas, desalinating the water. And so on...
